Phoenixx Alexander Croxton, 57, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on February 6, 2026. Born March 21, 1968, in Bronx, NY, he was a true Philadelphia nightlife legend, a luminous force whose presence shaped an era. As the unforgettable face of the iconic Shampoo nightclub, he wasn't just a host or performer — Phoenixx was the heartbeat of the room, welcoming generations with unmatched charisma, style, and joy. A proud member of the legendary House of Willie Ninja, his artistry was deeply rooted in ballroom culture, where precision, performance, and self-expression reigned supreme. A multi-hyphenate creative, Phoenixx was a professional makeup artist, dancer, performance artist, and fashion model whose talents transcended spaces and scenes. His dynamic energy carried him from the underground to the mainstream, making Phoenixx a beloved fixture in Philadelphia's Gayborhood and beyond. He left his mark on storied venues such as Revival, Black Banana, and the Trocadero, where his star power was undeniable and his presence unforgettable. Beyond the stage and spotlight, Phoenixx lent his voice as a guest vocalist on various house music tracks, further cementing his legacy in the sound and soul of the culture he helped define. Energetic, magnetic, and endlessly talented, he shined with a rare star presence. Ever since childhood, Phoenixx lived to light every room, with a joke or funny story for every occasion. No matter the day of the week, he was everyone's Saturday night, with unique humor and an enduring love for friends and family.
