JANET RAZLER OBITUARY

Janet Razler (nee Steck), 78, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, after a brief illness. Janet was born in 1947 in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter and oldest child of Gerald Steck and Edna Steck (nee Dobert).

Janet was a true Philadelphian and long lifelong resident of Mayfair. She graduated from Lincoln High School and worked as an executive secretary for Aero Missile Components, Inc.,Gap, Inc./ Real Estate Division and Public Financial Management until her retirement in 2016.

Janet was a loving mother and a generous person. She was the long-time block captain of the 4300 block of Teesdale Street, she was involved with the Mayfair Athletic Club and was well known in the Mayfair-Tacony-Holmesburg neighborhoods as “Mrs. Raz” having raised three sons. Janet was huge fan of Aerosmith and Steven Tyler, but most of all, Janet was extremely excited about becoming a great-grandmother to Violet.

Janet is survived by her sons Jason (Stacey) and Joseph; her grandchildren Andrew, Alexandra (Joshua) and Madison; her former spouse, Joseph F. Razler (Margaret); sister Carol Marronand Margaret Coombs (Jack); brother Gerald “(Jerry”); her dear friend John Cape and many nieces, cousins, friends and her dog“Cocoa”.

Janet was predeceased by her parents Gerald Steck and Edna Steck, son Brian Razler, sister Elizabeth Steck; brother-in-law Michael Marron; her sister-in-law Deborah Steck; and her nephew Michael Marron and her miniature Doberman “Diamond”.

A visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernards Roman Catholic Church in the early spring. It will be posted in the future on social media.
